Today - the International Children's Book Day
Today the International Children's Book Day is celebrated. In this connection the head of Agency on Press and Mass Media RB Boris Melkoedov congratulated publishers and young readers of the republic on the holiday. The head of the department named the International Children's Book Day as «one of the most bright and kind holidays».
“Since 1967 under the initiative and the decision of the International Children's Book Council on the birthday of the great storyteller Hans Christian Andersen on April 2, the whole world celebrates the International Children's Book Day. This holiday urges us not to forget about our most beloved and small readers and reminds adults of the time when they were children,” it is said in the congratulation of Boris Melkoedov.
