Rustem Khamitov took part in the session of PFO Council on demographic policy
On March 29, in Izhevsk the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov took part in the session of Council of Volga Federal District (PFO), which was spent by the Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in PFO Michael Babich. The issue of demographic policy realisation in district regions was discussed there, the press-service of the head of region informs.
During the meeting the heads of subjects analysed a current situation with demographic policy, having discussed in detail positive results, and possible ways of available problems solution.
For the last few years the demographic situation has improved in Bashkortostan. Last year the birth rate growth by 5,1 percent and death rate decrease by 2,2 percent (58997 people were born, 53380 died) were marked. Among regions of Volga Federal District Bashkortostan is on the first place on quantity of families having many children (there are 34,5 thousand large families where more than 100 thousand children are brought up in the republic).
