The session of the working group on inter-regional cooperation of the Intergovernmental Russian-Finnish Commission for Economic Cooperation took place in the Ministry of Employment and Economic Development of Finland.
The Deputy Prime-Minister of the Government RB Ilshat Tazhitdinov took part in its work, supervising development of foreign economic relations with this Scandinavian country.
As Ilshat Tazhitdinov marked, trade and economic, and in particular, investment turnover between our regions, did not correspond to economic potential of Finland and Bashkortostan. Focusing on cooperation strengthening it is planned to hold a session of the Bashkir-Finnish working group on trade and economic cooperation in Helsinki in April. It will concern mechanical engineering, IT sphere, construction and logistics, biotechnologies and medicine.
The Vice-Premier also spent a number of business negotiations. In particular, his meeting with Ilpo Kokkila, the main owner and the chairman of the board of directors of «SRV Group» corporation and «Pontos Oy», heading simultaneously the Central Business Union of Finland took place. Issues of investment cooperation in the sphere of hospitality industry, construction and trading-logistical technologies development in Bashkortostan were discussed there.
The representative of the Ministry of Economic Development RB in Finland Arif Hairedin took part in the meeting, the press-service of the Government RB informs.
