Rustem Khamitov has supported electivity of regional heads of Russia
The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov commented on Alexey Kudrin's initiative concerning reforming of power system in subjects of the Russian Federation.
“In my opinion, transition to parliamentary variants of governing in subjects of the Russian Federation contradicts to the situation at the federal level,” Rustem Khamitov marked. “The head of the region should be elected, the legislation is already formed, everybody understand that it is inevitable.”
The President of Bashkortostan underlined that the data of sociological polls of the republican population also confirmed this choice. Such opinion was stated by 65-67 percent of inhabitants of our republic.
“Practice shows that in subjects of the Russian Federation there should be a head elected by the population, having sufficient powers for the decision of large tasks which are set for today,” Rustem Khamitov said.
Today a number of mass-media spread the information that the former Minister of Finance of Russia Alexey Kudrin came forward with an initiative on reforming of power system in subjects of the Russian Federation, decentralizing of local authority. The Russian regions are offered to choose the parliamentary government for themselves.
According to the offered plan, the governments of the Russian regions will be formed by results of elections to the Legislative Assembly.
