On March 21, the inter-regional seminar «Organization of public campaigns for protection of cultural heritage and history» organised by the D.S. Lihachev’s Fund is opened in St.-Petersburg.
Active participants of regional studies and heritage protection organisations and movements having experience of public actions will take part in it.
From all Russia fifteen representatives of different heritage protection movements are invited, among which — Ufa resident Christina Abramicheva, the representative of social movement «Arhzashchita of Ufa» and the member of Public Council on Cultural Heritage Preservation under the head of Ufa administration.
At the seminar it is supposed to discuss methods of public protection of historical and cultural monuments, practice of application of federal and local legislation on protection of monuments, experience of interaction of regional studies community with authorities and the mass media. The seminar’s materials will form the basis for working out of guidance manual on the organisation of public campaigns protecting monuments of culture and history.
