From February 27, till March 2 snowfalls and blizzards are expected in Bashkortostan at strengthening of wind from 15 to 23 metres per second. Snow drifts will be formed on the roads.
As Anna Kozaeva, the main weather forecaster of the republic informed today at the press conference, these days wide fluctuations will be marked, both at atmospheric pressure and temperature.
“The prevailing temperature in the region will be from eight to thirteen degrees below zero at night and from three to eight degrees below zero during the day from February 27 till March 2. During a cold front passing — in the middle of this period — the temperature in the cities will go down to 20 degrees of frost, in rural areas — to 22-27 degrees,” Anna Kozaeva underlined.
According to the preliminary forecast, the first decade of March in Bashkortostan will be quite unstable, but, nevertheless, close to average long-term values. Daily average temperature in the first decade of the first month of spring will be about 10 degrees of frost. As a whole both the temperature, and the amounts of precipitation are expected within normal values in March.
“We are waiting real, instead of calendar spring in the end of March — the beginning of April. Arrival of spring is characterised by transition of daily average temperature through the mark of zero degrees. Then active snow melting starts,” Anna Kozaeva explained. “In 2013 the spring will not be cold, but with recurring cold waves. So, if the first decade of April will be quite warm then in the second decade, according to the preliminary forecast, colder weather will be established. The third decade of April will be warm again in the republic.”
