Holy Trinity Cathedral Church to be restored in Birsk

Restoration of the Holy Trinity Cathedral Church will begin in the town of Birsk soon and this decision was reached at the last work meeting of the trusteeship council of the charity fund “Birsk”.

At present time two churches work in the town and the Holy Trinity Cathedral Church, erected at the end of the XIX century will become the third.

Birsk administration reports disassembling of dilapidated constructions will start in several days, foundation laying for the future bell tower will take place in February as well as completion of roofing works. Interior works will run in parallel. According to the project about 50 million rubles will be required for reconstruction of the church and this means will be allocated from off-budget sources.

August 2013 is determined as the deadline for completion of external restoration works and beautification of the nearby territory – by the day of celebration of the 350th anniversary of the town.
