The soloist of Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre Alfiya Karimova will take part in the 31st F.I.Shalyapin’s International Opera Festival which will be held in February this year in Kazan. "Tatar-Inform" information agency referring to the press-service of the Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theatre informs about it.
The 31st F.I.Shalyapin’s Festival will be held from February 1 till February 16 and will be devoted to the 140 anniversary from the date of Feodor Shalyapin's birth. 35 singers and conductors representing ten opera countries of the world: Russia, Italy, Germany, Ukraine, the USA, Canada, Poland, Romania, Kazakhstan and Belarus will be featured in performances of the present forum. The general number of participants is more than 500 people. Among them — masters of the world opera scene Vladimir Ognovenko (USA) and the national artist of the USSR Larissa Shevchenko, and also soloists of leading theatres of Russia, the near abroad and Europe.
It should be marked that in 2010 the 13th International Festival of Opera Art «Shalyapin’s Evenings in Ufa» took place in the capital of Bashkortostan. Then the festival was opened with a premiere of "Prince Igor" opera by Alexander Borodin.
