The III International festival «Christmas Meetings in Philharmonic Society» will come to the end on January 15 with performance of the early music ensemble «Canto Vivo» (Moscow) in the H.Akhmetov’s Bashkir State Philharmonic Society.
The ensemble has unique musical instruments — lutes, vihuelas, viola da gambas, ancient flutes and violins, a harpsichord and a harp. The repertoire consists of vocal and instrumental music of XIV-XVIII centuries.
«Canto Vivo» was created in 2000 by musicians, interested in the European music of the late Middle Ages, the Renaissance and early Baroque — from XIV to the beginning of XVIII centuries. Andrey Tchernyshov improved his skills at master classes of leading world lutenists (Hopkinson Smith, Nigel North, Rolf Lislevand). Ekaterina Liberova graduated from the Academy of Choral Art with major in solo singing. Marina Belova is trained now in the Maimonid State Classical Academy, lute class by Andrey Tchernyshov.
At the concert in Ufa soloists of the ensemble will execute music of Renaissance and Baroque.
