Hundred masterpieces of the Soviet and Russian cinema are recommended for studying at schools. The corresponding list is published on the website of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
At the list there are pictures of different genres and directions, among them — "Mirror" and "Andrey Rublyov" by Tarkovsky, «Little Vera» by Pichul, «The Dawns Here Are Quiet » by Rostotsky, «Diamond Arm» by Gaidai. Schoolchildren will also see the films by Ryazanov, Bondarchuk, Keosayan, Konchalovsky, Mikhalkov, Motyl, Hutsiev.
It should be mentioned that the offer to enter at schools optional cinema classes was suggested at the round-table conference in the Union of Cinematographers. And the management of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia made a decision to work over this idea in common. In the autumn of 2012 all interested persons could offer 3 domestic and 3 foreign films on the website mkrf.ru and on several mass-media sites. One hundred films constituted as a result of these offers was corrected by experts of the Scientific Research Institute Of Cinema Art (VGIK), the St.-Petersburg State University of Cinema and TV, the Russian Institute of Cultural Science, the Russian Institute of History of Arts, the State Films Fund of Russia, the Union of Cinematographers.
The list will be directed to the Ministry of Education and Science: drawing up of the final version of the list, and also definition of teaching methodology relate to the competence of this department, it is informed on the website of the Ministry of Culture RF.
The list of «100 foreign films» will be published later: it is more difficult and longer to receive rights to display foreign films.
