The X congress of Russian Journalists Union to be held in April
The X congress of Russian Journalists Uni on will be held on April 18-19, 2013, in Moscow and the last meeting of the Union’s active federative council will take place on April 17, the Union’s site reports.
The most acute problems in activity of professional journalist community expected to be raised at the congress, such as, for instance, “How one can save journalism?”. “We bring waterfalls of facts and news down on people but fail to explain the essence of the events occurred. Journalists aren’t interested in ordinary people, searching for protection in this unstable and aggressive world. Our media content is devoted to the powers that be and this indifference to the readers negatively affects both journalism and its basics” – representatives of Russian Journalists Union believe.
