Experts of the Ministry of Ecology of Bashkortostan and Ufa State Aviation Technical University visited German Oberpfaffenhofen, Aerospace Centre where they took part in the seminar devoted to remote sensing of the Earth in the field of environment monitoring.
Since the year of 2000 the program of the consulting assistance of the German Ministry of Environment has been operating in the countries of the Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, Central Asia and Caucasus. The program essence is that the German party annually finances up to 50 projects on preservation of the environment. For example, in 2010 2,74 million euro were directed for its realization, Nina Nikandrova, the press-secretary the Ministry of Ecology RB informs.
The consulting assistance to projects is rendered by the Aerospace Centre in Oberpfaffenhofen, responsible for planning and realisation of the space program on behalf of the government of Germany.
At the seminar representatives of Bashkortostan offered the German party a number of projects, concerning various directions in the field of environment preservation. On December 11, their detailed discussion with participation of representatives of Ufa State Aviation Technical University took place in the republican Ministry of Ecology. By results of the meeting four priority projects devoted to floods, monitoring of banks, non-authorised extraction of commonly occurring mineral resources and fires were chosen.
Till the end of March 2013, the republic should submit an application to the German Ministry of Environment. In case of positive decision the German party is ready to allocate annually per 100 thousand euro for each project.
