The International Days of Miftahetdin Akmullah are opened today at the Bashkir State Pedagogical University, named after the great enlightener, with the exhibition of felt works, composed by students of the University’s art and graphics faculty.
The program of the Days is traditionally wide and varied but as the rector of the Bashkir State Pedagogical University Rail Asadullin mentioned, for the first time the youth ethnic festival “Ethnic Fest-2012”, initiated by students, will take place within the frames of the Days. It will start on December 5 and is directed to education of the culture of tolerance among young people of different nationalities and religions and is called to inculcate the love in aboriginal culture and folk traditions in youth.
Talking about Akmullah the rector said that he was not just a poet and philosopher but also an experienced pedagogue, narrator and craftsman. The literary art of Akmulllah was so burning that his ideas remained quite actual even today.
“Three nations regard Akmullah as their compatriot: Bashkirs, Tatars and Kazakhs’ – the rector said – “He had been born and educated in Bashkortostan, his only lifetime book “In the Memory of Shigabutdin Mardjani” was published in Tatarstan and he propagated his ideas in Kazakhstan”.
International Days of Miftahetdin Akmullah will be over on December 10.
