Problems and ways for harmonization of inter-ethnic and inter-confessional relations are under discussion in Bashkortostan

Refresher courses on the program “Problems and ways for harmonization of inter-ethnic and inter-confessional relations in RB” are held at the Bashkir Academy of public service and management under the President RB on November 19-29. The courses’ program is aimed at investigation of state-inter-confessional relations in Bashkortostan at present stage. Graduates of the courses are taught to adapt their knowledge to peculiarities of work with representatives of different religious and national traditions.

Round-table discussion, devoted to searching for the ways to solve international and inter-confessional problems in Russia and Bashkortostan has taken place within the program’s frames with participation of Ufa archbishop Nikon, chairman of the Clerical Muslim Dept RB Nurmukhamet Nigmatullin, deputy chairman of the Central Clerical Muslim Dept of Russia Arthur Suleimanov, chief rabbi of Ufa and RB Dan Krichevski and the chairman of the council for state-inter-confessional relations under the President RB Vyacheslaw Pyatkov.

Participants of the discussion underscored the necessity of a dialogue between authority and representatives of different religions in sphere of consolidation of mutual understanding, agreement and cooperation between people.

After discussion of problems of radicalism and extremism, migration and law-enforcement order the comers have come out for further development of inter-confessional dialogue in RB, for counteraction to spreading of extremism, for enlightenment and education of youth in the spirit of respect of religious and moral values and popularization of health way of life.
