More than 18 thousand apartments with total area over 1,6 million square metres were put into operation in Bashkortostan from January till October, 2012. According to Bashkortostan Statistics Agency, it almost by 12 percent exceeds the similar last year's indicator. The main volume still accounts for individual builders: the share of the habitation put into operation by the population at its own expense and by means of credits, made 75,7 percent.
It is marked that in rural areas housing development was conducted more intensively: growth in comparison with last year made 20,8 percent, while in cities – about five percent.
On the total area of the constructed habitation the republic is on the second place among Volga Federal District regions. On habitation input per capita Bashkortostan with an indicator of 399 square meteres takes the third place after Tatarstan and Chuvashiya.
