Contest of young Udmurt folk singers “Rising Stars” is held in Tatyschlinski region

The VI interregional contest of young Udmurt folk and pop singers “Rising Stars”, organized by Ministry for culture RB, Friendship House RB, administration of Tatyschlinski region and the Republican Udmurt national-cultural center RB, is opened on November 16 in the village Novye Tatyschly – administrative center of the region. The main goal of the contest, held once in two years, is development of national culture, musical and vocal art, preservation and development of national traditions, revealing and support of young talents.

Director of the Udmurt national-cultural center Antonida Shaibakova reports more than 30 vocalists from Bashkir regions and from Udmurtia arrived to take part in the vocal competition. Young singers compete in two age groups (12-15 and 16-30 years). The jury will determine the leaders in different nominations and Grand-Prix of the contest will be ad judged in the senior group.

All participants will be rewarded with diplomas and winners – with prizes.
