State Duma deputy, vice-president of Russian Paralympic Committee Rima Batalova has taken part in the sixth gathering of the international forum “World and Sport 2012”, held in Sochi. Practical results of the program “Heritage Today”, held by the Sochi Olympic Games organizing committee, international peacemaking organization “Generations for Peace” and Sochi administration, were introduced there. The main goal of the forum was establishment of partnership relations and creation of favorable conditions for coordination of joint efforts, aimed at positive changes in the world.
Within the frames of the forum prominent international activists were sharing their opinions what contribution sport could make to peacemaking projects.
“I am sure that for today Russia, as never before, is keen on the idea of spreading of humanistic views through healthy way of life and mass sports movement” – Rima Batalova says – “Initiators of the forum share the idea that the dialogue between different countries and cultures can be achieved with the help of sport and sport is also able to contribute to better mutual understanding”.
