During the population census in 2020 the Federal State Statistics Service plans to use the Internet for the information gathering. It was announced by the head of the Federal State Statistics Service Alexander Surinov, the department website informs.
“We have created now a working group. Together with the Pension fund we will use SNILS (Insurance Number of Individual Ledger Account), the Social Council supported us over this matter, now any specific decisions should be made,” the head of Statistics Service informs.
Alexander Surinov also marked that already today territorial bodies of the Statistics Service should provide a certain percent of the information gathered from the companies in electronic form. Now on average across Russia the third of total information is submitted like this, and in two-three years it is planned that this figure will reach 100 percent.
