Constantine Tolkachev:”From the very beginning Russian state was formed as multinational”

The speaker of the Republican parliament Constantine Tolkachev thinks the proposal of Michael Prokhorov concerning refusal from the system of Russia’s dividing into national districts and republics because of its inefficiency is the result of poor content of the political program, offered by the party he leads.

“It is remarkable that from the whole program, announced by Michael Prokhorov at the party congress, the attention was attracted to this “exotic” proposal” – the speaker said – “And I can’t understand was it well thought-out or it was just an emotional impromptu, born exactly on the stage just to attract public attention to the action. It seems that the original ground here is poor content of the political platform and the lack of constructive ideas”.

According to the chairman Russian history evidently proves that from the very beginning the Russian state was formed as a multinational one. The present federative system was formed in the course of many centuries and introduction of any changes off-hand, having minimal experience and political luggage and basing just on economic calculations, fraught with serious and hard-to-predict consequences.

“M-r Prokhorov has already proved that he is a good businessman and manager but he is still a young politician, still making too many mistakes, and I do hope he learns by these mistakes. At the same we expect new interesting ideas from him” – Constantine Tolkachev mentioned.
