The number of the unique users, who had visited the main site of the news agency “Bashinform” in October, for the first time for the measurement period overcame the psychological barrier at 200 thousand. According to the average data of all external counters, placed on the site www.bashinform.ru, the number of views in October amounted to 770 thousand and the number of sessions (taking the fact that every user visits the site twice a day on average and opens at least two pages during every visit into account) – 378 thousand.
The editor-in-chief of the news agency “Bashinform” Shamil Valeev reports the news about appointments and retirements still remain the main “growth stimulators” and the news concerning appointments and retirements in the Republican Government are still the leaders of attendance as well as the news about changes in leadership of the territorial security, defense and law-enforcement agencies.
“At the same time we failed to overcome the daily peak of “Bashinform” attendance, registered at the beginning of August 2010. That time we’ve registered 50 thousand visits from 6 thousand users. It seems that people hastily reloaded the site, searching for information about the first call of our new government. In 2012 we never registered such feverish demand again, nonetheless people, interested in reload of Bashkir managerial staff, brought their 43 thousand clicks to us” – Shamil Valeev mentioned – “At the same time stable growth of our “unique” audience allows us to figure on high attendance even without such informational grounds, which gave us just rather non-standard increase of the site traffic during two-three days” — he said – “If in 2010 and at the beginning of 2011 we exploited the interest of our audience in new Republican leadership and its activity, now this growth means the rise of interest and trust of our audience just in everyday news. Such news, having nothing to do with politics, forms the traffic today”.
In a whole the monthly audience of “Bashinform” has grown approximately two times, starting from 2010 and this dynamics leaves the total growth of internet audience in Russia behind. This growth makes up 17-20% per year according to the results of 2010-2011 in accordance with “Yandex” survey. Thus, in summer 2012 “Bashinform” has become the leader of quotability among sites RB according to “Yandex Catalogue” and indicated as the leader of quotability among mass-media RB according to “Medialogy”.
For the reference: the domain name of the news agency “Bashinform” site (www.bashinform.ru) was registered in March 1997. The news agency itself was established under the name “Version” in August 1992. Since the beginning of 2000 the news of “Bashinform” are found in free access. 8-12 thousand users visit the site every day. They watch 2-3 news per one time on average.
