Representatives of Bashkortostan are taking part in international forum “Islam in multicultural world”
The II international forum “Islam in multicultural world” started working in Kazan today, the news agency “Tatar-Inform” reports. The forum is organized by the Kazan Federal University’s Institute of oriental studies and international relations.
Scientists from Belgium, the Great Britain, Netherlands, the USA, Turkey, Japan, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Poland, Armenia and Germany arrived in Kazan to take part in the forum. Russia is presented by such cities as Kazan, Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Makhachkala, Ufa, Chelyabinsk, Orenburg and others.
The forum will be held on October 29-31 and problems of inner-Muslim dialogue, actual problems of Islam in Russia and in the world, development of Muslim movements, post-colonial investigations and other problems of classical and actual orientalism will be under discussion. Special attention will be paid to development of Islam in Volga-Ural region.
