Rustem Khamitov:”Russia’s joining WTO should be good for Bashkortostan”
Russia’s joining WTO should be good for Bashkortostan. The President RB Rustem Khamitov reported about it in Samara after the end of a widened meeting of Federation Council’s temporary commission for monitoring of Russia’s participation in WTO and Customs Union.
“After entering WTO Russia will be at last integrated in the global market” – the President RB said – on the base of the thorough analysis we may make the conclusion that membership in WTO will exert positive influence upon development of Bashkir economics”.
Rustem Khamitov called oil mining, oil refining and oil chemistry the most promising branches. Machine building and science are also quite competitive. Situation with agriculture and light industry looks slightly worse.
“We are restrained in forecasts in the agrarian sector. We think that abatement in fees can become a minus in this sphere. We started active reformation of our villages and understand that we won’t be able to do it without serious approach. We will also bear losses in light industry because we are competing with China here but in spite of that we have rather good reserves”.
Rustem Khamitov has stated that we have to get rid of administrative obstacles and local business should be more active, competently estimating its own potential.
“WTO is that adrenaline, which will make all of us dynamic” – the President RB summed up.
