Illegal woodcutters reduce their activity in Bashkiria
In Bashkiria decrease in average volume of the cut timber wood in each case of illegal woodcutting is marked.
“By data as of October 20, volume of illegally cut down wood in the republic reached 5916 cubic metres. In total from the beginning of year 563 cases of illegal woodcutting are revealed in the region. The damage caused to the forestry of Bashkiria by illegal woodcutters makes 42,6 million roubles,” the press-secretary of the Ministry of Forestry RB Aibulat Gainullin told the "Bashinform" agency.
Positive dynamics on decrease in total infringements of the forestry legislation, including illegal woodcutting is continued to be marked in the republic, the ministry officers underline.
Thus, if in 2010 the volume of illegally cut down wood reached in Bashkiria 13500 cubic metres, in 2010 – 10371 cubic metres, in 2011 – 8358 cubic metres.
