Among subjects of Volga Federal District Bashkortostan takes the third place on volume of investments after Tatarstan and the Nizhniy Novgorod Region. And on volume of investments per capita the republic is on the seventh place (19962 roubles). According to the Ministry of Economic Development RB this year the volume of investments into the fixed capital should make more than 230 billion roubles.

“For this purpose it is important to increase volumes,” the President of Republic Rustem Khamitov said at the Social Council session on improvement of investment climate held on October 10. “The situation is worse with foreign investors. The main reason is the global economic crisis. But there are drawbacks from our part too. In particular, it concerns insufficient positioning of our republic. I suggest that the Ministry of Economics and Chamber of Commerce and Industry should clear up the given issue.”

The head of the republic underlined that in the region active work is spent concerning privileges granting to investors. However, locally authorities interact with investors not in their best way. Heads of municipalities and cities need assistants, real professionals. Now this work will be performed by special investment representatives.

As one of measures on work development with investors the telephone hotline is organised by which it is possible to submit the information and offers coccerning investment projects to an expert and then Rustem Khamitov will personally communicate with potential investors. The hotline number: +73472505707.

“Our financial sector of economy is practically not developed,” Rustem Khamitov underlined. “Also it is necessary to attract serious resources for the republic development. We should make a lot for Ufa accomplishment. We plan to reconstruct the international airport "Ufa", railway station, we would like to construct new quays in the city, to improve the southern slope”, the President said.
