Bashkortostan is included into Top 10 of of the most competitive Russian regions. Our Republic stands on the seventh position of the rating, leaving Voronezh region (the eighth position), Tatarstan (the 9th) and Belgorod region (the last one) behind. The three of the leaders includes Novosibirsk and Sverdlovsk regions and Moscow. Krasnodar region is on the fourth position, Chelyabinsk and Samara regions are found on the fifth and the sixth places correspondingly.
This data is taken from the annual “Report about competitive ability of Russia in 2012: regions on the way of rise of competitiveness”, prepared by the Eurasian Institute of competitiveness jointly with the Russian Savings Bank and Strategy Partners Group. The authors analyzed the data of 30 most developed Russian regions.
