A meeting of the deputy Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in Volga federal district Galina Izotova with representatives of small and medium business and public organizations RB has taken place in Ufa. The topic of the meeting was “Development of small and medium business undertakings in Republic of Bashkortostan: problems and prospects”.
“I arrived in Ufa mainly as an investment supervisor” – Galina Izotova explained – “The commission for investment climate and business undertakings is established in Volga federal district. One meeting of the commission has been held in April and two others will take place in October and December. The tasks of the commission are purely practical: we give recommendations to every region of Volga federal district, collect and consider investment projects. One of such projects came from Bashkortostan by the way. At the nearest meeting we intend to consider work efficiency of local development institutes”.
The second important direction in activity of Galina Izotova is interaction with ombudsmen for business rights. At present time such ombudsmen work in Bashkortostan and Ulyanovsk region but by December 1 they should be appointed in all regions of Volga federal district and in the country.
One of the most important aims, recently discussed at the governmental level, is development of regional aviation but it is still just a pilot project.
According to Galina Izotova Volga federal district stays on the third place in the country by investment climate but its potential allows the district to stay immediately after Moscow. The volume of investments per capita is not bad on average but it could be better. This index depends on investment activity in every region.
“Republic of Bashkortostan has solid potential but it isn’t yet used up to the end but the main thing is that you are on the right way” – Galina Izotova believes.
