The first gathering of the provincial Council for local self-government development will take place in Ufa on Wednesday, September 19, and its participants will discuss actual problems in development of local self-government in the regions of Volga federal district.
The chairman of the State Council’s committee RB for local self-government and public communities Rustem Kuzbekov, the head of Oktyabrsky town administration, chairman of the Association “The Council of municipal formations RB” Sergey Molchanov, the head of Sterlitamac town administration Alexei Izotov and the chairman of Ufa town council Eugene Semivelichenko will present Republic of Bashkortostan at the gathering.
The provincial consultative Council for local self-government was established in July, 2012. Its staff includes representatives of municipalities, heads of administrations of big cities and administrative centers, heads of regional and interregional associations and public structures, uniting municipal formations, representatives of Russian Federal Assembly and experts. The Council’s tasks include elaboration of recommendations for authority concerning participation of deputies in support of candidates to the posts of heads of Russian regions, formation of potential workforce and distribution of powers between regional and municipal power bodies.
