The IV interregional festival “Birsk Apple” starts in the town of Birsk
The IV interregional festival “BIrsk Apple” starts in the town of Birsk today, September 15. Apple is a live symbol of the town and the municipal region because apples can be seen on the town emblem.
The history of the festival begins in October 2008, when the first festival “BIrsk Apple” has taken place here within the frames of the annual Birsk Day. The next festival, devoted to apples of Birsk, has taken place in September 2010 and that time it acquired the status of a Republican festival. Gardeners from many Bashkir regions and guests gathered in the town.
In 2011 the festival has become more popular. The President RB Rustem Khamitov visited it and highly appreciated this beginning. In 2012 it is decided to make the festival interregional.
The festival is organized by Ministry for economic development RB, the state committee RB for trade and consumer rights and JSC “Bashkir Chemistry” is the general sponsor.
The festival includes a wide business program. Thus, the conference, devoted to problems of urban development with participation of the leadership of the region and experts in this sphere will take place within its frames. Initiators of the conference believe that Bashkortostan will become the all-Russian site for discussion of strategic problems of small towns and advancement of the Republic at the federal level will occur through development of tourism.
