International Aksakov’s festival will be held in Ufa beginning from September 21 in rather unusual format – for the first time the festival will leave the walls of the Bashkir State Theater of opera and ballet (the former Aksakov’s National Home) for the streets of Ufa. The problem is that the number of people, wishing to take part in the festival, is so high that the theater can’t accommodate all of them, as the chairman of Ufa administration Eugene Semivelichenko reported today, September 13, at the field press conference, devoted to the forthcoming XXII international Aksakov’s festival, held with participation of the Aksakov Fund chairman Michael Chvanov, the chairman of Ufa administration commission for humanitarian issues and PR relations Svetlana Nikolaeva, the head of Ufa administration housing and communal service dept Vladimir Chernov, the head of Ufa Oktyabrsky district administration Michael Davydov and director of the Youth Theater “Mask” Uri Karmanov.
Within the frames of the press conference its participants have paid a visit to the Youth Theater “Mask”. A theatrical performance in the honor of the festival is rehearsed there these days.
As Michael Chvanov mentioned, celebration of Aksakov Days has long ago left the borders of Bashkortostan. For example, a hymn to the motif of the fairy tale “Red Flower” was composed in Samara and taken up by young people from Russia in Norway. And guests from Germany, France and Bulgaria will join the festival in Ufa this year.
