A meeting of Volga federal district’s council for development of local self-government to be held in Ufa
The first meeting of the provincial consultative council for development of local self-government will take place in Ufa on September 19. Its participants will discuss actual aspects of local self-government in regions of Volga federal district within the frames of the instructions of the President of Russia on modernization of Russian political system. The chairman of the state committee RB for local self-government and public communities Rustem Kuzbekov, the head of Oktyabrsky town administration, chairman of the association “The Council of municipal formations RB” Sergey Molchanov, the head of Sterlitamac town administration Alexei Izotov and the chairman of Ufa town council Eugene Semivelichenko will present Republic of Bashkortostan.
The provincial consultative council for development of local self-government was founded in July 2012. Its staff consists of representatives of municipalities, governors of big cities and administrative centers, heads of regional and interregional associations and public structures, representatives of Russian Federal assembly and experts. The main tasks of the council are elaboration of recommendations for the authority re formation of regular personnel and distribution of powers between regional and municipal authorities.
