Inflation in Bashkortostan reached 4,4% in August

Inflation in Bashkortostan reached 4,4% in August and as compared with July its level raised by 0,3%.

“The index of consumer prices for goods and services in August 2012 in the Republic amounted to 104,4%, as compared with December 2011” – Bashkir State Statistics Committee reports.

Foods became by 6,1% more expensive — most of all, services – by 4,7% and nonfoods – by 2,4%. In July all these figures were lower – 5,9, 4,3 and 2% correspondingly.

The level of inflation in the Republic is slightly lower than the average inflation index in Russia, which reached 4,6% in July. In Volga federal district this figure varies between 3,6 and 5,2%. Bashkiria stands in the middle among its regions.
