Days of Kingdom of Sweden are opened in Bashkortostan

The Days of Kingdom of Sweden will be held in Bashkortostan on September 5-9 and a big delegation from this country, consisting of Swedish Embassy employees, representatives of leading Swedish companies, activists of culture and art and DJs, will arrive in Ufa today.

The Days are organized by Swedish Embassy in Russia, Swedish Trade Council, the Government of Bashkortostan and Trade-Industry Chamber RB.

The Days of Sweden will take place in Bashkortostan for the first time. The goal is establishment of business relations between Bashkir and Swedish companies, widening of cooperation in sphere of culture and art and acquaintance with the latest achievements of Sweden in economics, culture, art, education and tourism. Special envoy of Swedish government for export of ecological technologies Mats Denninger expected to head the delegation.

Press conference, devoted to opening of the Days of Sweden in Bashkortostan, will take place today in the news agency “Bashinform” and in the regional ITAR-TASS bureau. After that Swedish delegation will visit the sports center “Ufa-Arena”. The week of Swedish cinema will start in Ufa cinema-theater “RODINA” in the evening.

The seminar “Symbio City”, devoted to the concept of stable urban development, will take place in Trade-Industry Chamber RB on September 7 and problems of life activity of “clever” cities, energy saving, energy efficiency, bio-power engineering and waste recycling will be under discussion there. The lecture on history and culture of Sweden is scheduled at the Bashkir State University the same day. Solemn ceremony of Swedish Visa Center opening will take place the same day after lunch. The Center will specialize itself on issuing visas to Sweden.

Besides, the Days of Sweden will be held in the trade center “Mega” on September 7-9. Bashkir-Swedish DJ forum will take place in the evening September 8 near “Gostiny Dvor” with participation of the leading DJs from Sweden.
