On August 31 the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has held a meeting re development of transport infrastructure in the Republic. The chairman of the state corporation “ROSVATODOR” (Russian Motorways) Sergey Kelbach also took part in it. He has listened to the information about projects in sphere of road construction, which development is impossible without financial backing fr om the federal center.
“Our main goal is to attract solid investments for development of big projects in sphere of transport infrastructure” – Rustem Khamitov stated.
According to the President RB the present sum of means of the Republican road fund fails to cover even a half of means, necessary for keeping the motorways – three billion rubles per year instead of 6,7 billion required.
“We approved a goal-oriented program for development of motorways till 2015 with the financing volume almost 90 billion rubles. This is a huge sum but we have to find this money somewh ere, otherwise our roads will become worse” – Rustem Khamitov mentioned.
The President RB called construction of a toll sector of the highway “Bavly-Kumertau” in staff of the international transport corridor “Europe-Eastern China” one of the top priority projects.
“Being a federal highway and the first highway of such class for our Republic it will become one of the main joints in our transport network” – Rustem Khamitov underscored.
“Our plans on the project “Europe-Eastern China” run according to the schedule and this project in your Republic will be developed with participation of our company” – Sergey Kelbach answered.
The head of “ROSAVTODOR” also positive talked about erection of a stockist “Bitumen-Techno-Park” in the town of Salavat.
“Our innovational block pays special attention to quality of bitumen” – Sergey Kelbach stated – “In the beginning of this year we issued new standards for using bitumen with the modified additions. We come in your region to create necessary capacities for the winter periods and for production and delivery of high-quality bitumen for the Russian market. This bitumen will be also sold beyond your region”.
Projects for development of public transport in Ufa, as an alternative to expensive metro, were also introduced to participants of the meeting – high-speed trams and metro-buses as well as the project for restoration of navigability of Belaya-river on the sector Ufa-Sterlitamac.
