Bashkortostan is on the seventh place on number of voters
On the website of the Central Election Committee of Russia data on the aggregate number of voters, participants of the referendum RF as of July 1, 2012 are disclosed. The total number of voters in Russia makes 110 494 008 people.
In the territory of the Russian Federation 108 649 810 voters are registered, outside of Russia – 1 829 650, in the city of Baikonur – 14 548. The most part of voters lives in Moscow (7 289 129), the Moscow Region (5 442 856), Krasnodar Territory (3 852 056), St.-Petersburg (3 646 034), the Sverdlovsk Region (3 475 773), the Rostov Region (3 299 021), Bashkortostan Republic (3 053 530). The least number of voters are registered in the Nenets Autonomous District (32 018) and the Chukotka Autonomous District (35 934).
Annually on January, 1 and on July 1, on the basis of the arrived information the number of voters, participants of the referendum in the corresponding territory, the subjects of the Russian Federation is established. The Central Election Commission co-ordinates all this work, and also receives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and Baikonur city administration the data on quantity of voters living outside the territory of the Russian Federation, and informs mass media and the general public about total results.
