Rustem Khamitov has formed an organising committee to prepare for International Summits of SCO and the BRICS countries in Ufa
On August, 9 the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov signed the decree about measures on preparation for sessions of the Council of heads of Member States of the Shanghai cooperation organisation (SCO) and meetings of BRICS heads in Ufa in 2015.
The regional Government is entrusted to develop and confirm a plan of preparatory measures till October 1, including a detailed plan on preparation of objects of infrastructure, buildings, constructions and transport which will be involved at carrying out of the Summits, the press-service of the President RB informs.
The decree forms Republican organising committee on preparation for carrying out of Summits SCO and the BRICS countries in Ufa. It is headed by the President of Bashkortostan.
For the reference. The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) unites Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The SCO Supreme body is Council of heads of Member States. It defines priorities and develops the basic directions of activity of the organization, solves matters of principle of its internal structure and functioning, interaction with other states and international organisations, and also considers the most actual international problems.
BRICS is a group of five fast growing economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China, the republic of South Africa (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa). The organisation was created in 2006 at the initiative of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. The basis of BRICS influence on regional and global affairs is constituted by the growing economic power of countries-participants.
