President RB Rustem Khamitov took part in the meeting devoted to agricultural producers support in connection with abnormal weather conditions.
The meeting was spent in Ilovlya settlement of the Volgograd Region by the Chairman of the Government RF Dmitry Medvedev.
Rustem Khamitov reported at the meeting about the state of the grain stock in Bashkiria, the press-service of the Government RF informs. As he said, in 2012 the loss of grain in the region would make about 40 percent concerning indicators of 2011.
“We had 3,3 million tons of grain last year. This year, probably, we will crop two million tons”, Rustem Khamitov said.
Dmitry Medvedev marked that 40 percent of losses was quite a big figure.
Rustem Khamitov in his turn added that in tons it was 1,1-1,2 million. As the President of Bashkortostan explained, it would be enough grain for the winter. However, then the region would remain without any reserves.
Besides the state of the grain stock in Bashkortostan, Rustem Khamitov reported about agriculture equipment support in the republic. As he said, current year 250–300 new combines would be purchased in the region.
The subsidy for agricultural machinery purchase makes now 40 percent. The President of Bashkortostan expressed confidence that at support of existing programs at the federal level, agricultural machinery purchase would be conducted more actively.
In the end of the meeting Dmitry Medvedev underlined that «during the period of adverse, abnormal weather changes, but also in general during Russia's joining the World Trade Organization the Government is simply obliged to pay special, increased attention to agriculture».
