Rustem Khamitov takes part in the State Council session in Moscow
The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov takes part in the first session of the State Council which is held in Moscow by Vladimir Putin after inauguration as the head of the state. Tasks of regional authorities to provide for steady economic growth and raising of living standards which were sounded by Vladimir Putin during pre-election campaign are discussed at the session.
In advance of the session the structure of the State Council had been changed. According to the decree of the President of Russia, the speaker of the Federation Council, the chairman of the State Duma and heads of the Duma fractions became its new members. As well as earlier, the State Council structure includes heads of the higher executive State government bodies of subjects RF. According to the Decree of the President, the session of the Presidium of the State Council of Russia will take place not less than once in three months. Members of the State Council will hold thus sessions not less than three times a year. Before they took place once in three months.
The State Council was formed by Vladimir Putin on September 1, 2000. At the State Council issues of special state significance are discussed concerning the state construction, course of economic and social reforms, public problems. The Chairman of the State Council is the head of the state.
