Mourning day in Russia
The President of Russia Vladimir Putin announced mourning day today, July 9, on the whole territory of Russia because of the last tragic events in Krasnodar region and because of the crash of Russian bus in Ukraine, entailing numerous victims.
According to the presidential decree state flags will be lowered in all Russian foreign offices. Cultural institutions and state TV-channels are recommended to abstain fr om any entertaining programs and actions.
Vladimir Putin presented his condolences to families of the victims. The President of Russia instructed Russian Government to undertake all necessary measures for emergency aiding, the press-service of the President of Russia reported.
According to the latest information 171 people died because of the heaviest flood. The majority of the victims were residents of Crimean region. 5185 cottages and 235 yards, wh ere 26475 people live, have suffered from water, ITAR-TASS reported. Three kindergartens, a school, a hospital, an obstetrical point, a tuberculosis dispensary and two water intakes are found in the disaster area.
The tragic event with the bus, transporting Russian pilgrims, has taken place on the 119th kilometer of the highway Kiev-Chernigov. 14 people died and other 29 suffered because of the crash. 43 people were found in the bus in a whole.
