For the first time non-state higher and secondary special education institutions in Russia may teach students at the expense of the state in 2012. 399 education institutions have taken part in an open public contest for receiving budget places, including 85 non-state institutions. All private institutes were taking part in the contest on a universal basis on a par with the state ones. Thanks to this contest VEGU Academy in Bashkiria may count on 212 budget vacancies this year.
The largest share of vacancies fall on the specialty “Informatics and computer engineering” (45 vacancies). Journalist faculty can receive 30 school-leavers on the budget and 25 people may receive pedagogical education free. The rest of the vacancies is distributed amount such bachelor’s specialties as “Applied mathematics” (20), “Management” (17), “Economics”: (15), “Design” (15), “Jurisprudence” (10) and “Social work” (10). 25 people will be received in magistracy on a budget basis. 10 places will be allocated for the directions “Pedagogical education” and “Economics” and five places for “public and municipal management” here.
