President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has paid a visit to Blagoveshensky region
On May 24 the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has paid a work visit to Blagoveshensky region of the Republic, the public affairs service of the President RB reported.
In the village Novonadejdino the President RB has become acquainted with activity of the agricultural co-operative “Niva”, specializing in milk cattle-breeding and cultivation of spring and winter crops and permanent grasses.
Rustem Khamitov recommended the agrarians to begin developing meat cattle-breeding. In particular it was noted at the meeting “Prospects in development of meat cattle-breeding”, held in Bryansk region on May 23 under chairmanship of the Prime-Minister of Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev, that only 2% of the whole livestock in Russia was bred for meat production, so this direction looked quite promising. But the farmers reported to the President that practically none of local meat factories was ready to receive the meat of local producers and all these factories worked exclusively with imported meat. Rustem Khamitov was also interested in prices in the milk market. It turned out that the dynamics of milk prices wasn’t in favor of farmers. “You have to develop several directions at once in order to secure your farm from economic risks, i.e. agriculture has to be diversified” – Rustem Khamitov stated.
The head of the Republic has also visited Uspensky Saint George monastery and inspected erection of a new building of Uspensky church, located on the monastery’s territory. The developers reported to the President that all construction works would be over in two months.
