Alfis Gayazov: “We won’t close Bashkir lyceum”

author: Olga Murtazina

Online conference with the Minister of education RB Alfis Gayazov has taken place on the site of “The Public Electronic Newspaper”. Many questions concerned the sphere of so-called national-regional component and study of Bashkir language, in particular. The Minister has underscored that the law sets the ratio between federal and regional components as 80 and 20 and curriculums are built up on this base. It means that all subjects should be studied in the volumes, enough for passing the unified state exam. “All parents may learn the basic plans” – the Minister of education RB explained.

Readers of “The Public Electronic Newspaper” also mentioned one more burning topic – liquidation of small schools in the countryside. “It happens because federals launched so-called per capita financing” – the Minister reminded – “One thing when means are allocated for 500 people and another thing-when for 30. Now life of any school fully depends upon the number of pupils. There is one more aspect. For normal functioning of any school its pedagogical staff should count as minimum as 18 people, so parents should be interested that their kids study at normal school. Now we are solving the problem of transporting pupils from remote villages to schools. In 2011 we’ve given 169 buses to them”.

The whole block of questions was connected with the destiny of the Bashkir lyceum. We aren’t going to close this education institution, the Minister explained, but at present moment we are solving the problem of resettlement of this school because according to expert examination the lyceum’s building isn’t subject to repair and new building can’t be erected in such short terms.  Beginning from September 1 pupils of the lyceum will study at Ufa lyceum N5 and at one of local professional colleges.

In a whole in the course of online conference Alfis Gayazov has answered about 60 questions. All answers will be available on the site of “The Public Electronic Newspaper” (www.i-gazeta.com).
