A memorial plaque in the memory of famous Bashkir composer Rauf Murtazin (1910-1994) is opened in Ufa, in K. Marx Street, the house N57a, where the composer lived for the last 34 years. Representatives of the Ministry of culture RB, public activists and pupils of Ufa schools have taken part in the ceremony.
“In the course of the whole life the founder of Bashkir classical music was working hard” – the chairman of the Union of Composers RB Rait Gaisin said – “Murtazin has left his bright mark practically in all genres: in vocal music, chamber music, opera and symphonic music. He has gone to plenty of folklore expeditions to remote regions of Bashkiria, writing samples of folk art down and using these findings later in his works”.
The memorial plaque was officially opened by the deputy Minister of culture RB Ranis Altynbaev and by the composer’s daughter Rimma Murtazina.
