Ex-prosecutor of Bashkiria is included into a new staff of Russian Government
The President of the country Vladimir Putin presented a new staff of the Cabinet of Ministers RF today, www.news.kremlin.ru reports. Thus, Alexander Konovalov is again included into the staff of new Russian Government as the Minister of Justice. He held this office in the former staff of the Government and earlier worked as the prosecutor of Bashkiria.
For the reference: Alexander Konovalov was born on June 9, 1968, in Leningrad. He has graduated Saint-Petersburg State University in 1992. He is a candidate of juridical sciences and actual state councilor of justice RF.
In 1992-2005 he was working in Saint-Petersburg’s Office of Public Prosecutor. In parallel he read lectures on public and Roman law at Saint-Petersburg State University.
In February-November 2005 he was working as the Public Prosecutor RB.
In November 2005-May 2008 he was working the Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in Volga federal district.
On May12, 2008 he was appointed the Minister of Justice RF.
Since July 2008 he is a special representative of the President of Russia for interaction with European Union in sphere of liberty, security and justice.
Alexander Konovalov is a member of the Russian Security Council. He is rewarded with state awards, including the Order of Honor.
