Really historical event has occurred on May 11 on Bashkir Satellite TV – new newsroom is put into exploitation. Therefore BST made the first step to modernization of the whole TV-complex in HD format – high definition TV, where the volumes of transferred data will increase several times.
The Prime-Minister of the Government RB Azamat Ilimbetov, the Minister for communication and mass communications RB Boris Melkoedov, press-secretary of the President RB Artem Valiev and editors-in-chief of printed and online mass-media have taken part in solemn presentation.
As the Prime-Minister has mentioned, “the channel follows the best traditions of Russian TV and its news blocks reflect objective realities of modern Republic”.
“BST team proved its professionalism but whatever good specialists they are – local TV can be competitive only having necessary equipment of high quality” – Azamat Ilimbetov underscored.
According to the director of the state unitary enterprise TV-radio company “Bashkortostan” Galim Yakupov “now the company works in SD-TV format (standard definition). Ten years ago it could be called real progress. But up-to-dateness demands cardinal changes. Speeds and volumes of the transferred data are changed. The current network can’t stand the existing loads and the arising critical situations cause failures. That’s why the BST news service was changed first of all. Earlier preparation of just one topic took as minimum as three hours. Now this process can be shortened twice thanks to the unique TV-broadcasting complex”.
The newsroom represents the TV-complex, fully based on tapeless technologies.
“Journalist can write a text and at the same time edit video and subtitles. The automated system allows shortening the time of material preparation on the way to air and avoiding earlier inevitable mistakes in long production chains of handwork. The data is exchanged through high-speed optic networks and it means that the whole network can’t be overloaded or hung. The number of workplaces for journalists and cutters is increased up to 30. Now we have five studios for dubbing. Six thousand hours are allocated for the news archiv , sure, with further widening” – the editor-in-chief of BST information service Shamil Ishemiarov reported.
Since October 2011 news blocks in Russian and Bashkir languages are issued every hour. The first broadcast goes at 7 o’clock in the morning and the last one – at 22:30. And ratings say about growth of confidence of TV-watchers in BST. According to TNS Russia for one year the average daily share of BST increased from 2,77 to 3,41. At that the news rating grew one and a half times.
