Russian delegation has learned Swedish experience of legal protection from domestic violence

Deputy of State Duma Salia Murzabaeva has visited Sweden in the staff of Russian delegation, which included medics, deputies and representatives of law-enforcement bodies, journalists and heads of crisis centers for women from Russian regions. The visit has taken place within the frames of Russian-Swedish project, directed at advancement of the law about social and legal protection from violence in families in Russia.

Russian delegation has become acquainted with experience of deputies of Swedish parliament, with activity of Swedish police and social services for provision of security of women and children from violence in families, with the system of calling the violators to account and has visited clinics for victims of family violence and the crisis center for women.

Earlier public organizations, deputies and public activists many times said about the necessity to improve Russian legislation in sphere of prevention of domestic violence.
