Honoring of veterans of the Great Patriotic War and toilers of home front has taken place in Ufa Congress-Hall on the eve of regular anniversary of the victory over fascism. The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has taken part in it. Congratulating the veterans, defending their fatherland for the next generations the head of the Republic has reminded all comers that there is no more substantial and more wide-scaled and memorable event than the Victory Day.
“Victory Day reminds the whole world that our nation stood in the breach and managed to withstand Nazism” – the President RB said – “Our army, demonstrating unexampled bravery, inflicted the final defeat to fascism, reduced seemed undefeatable fascist armada to dust, and thus predetermined the outcome of the II World War. We congratulate first of all you, dear veterans with this feast, those, who in 1945 brought the victory home, who saved the country and many other states from devastation and many nations – from total destruction”.
According to Rustem Khamitov Bashkortostan from the very ancient times is known as the land of warriors, bravely defending the fatherland. Practically every citizen of the Republic knows quite well examples of heroism of our compatriots, names of the hero of the Patriotic War-1812 Kahym Murdashev, famous front pilot, twice hero of the Soviet Union Musa Gareev and immortal heroic deed of Alexander Matrosov.
“Citizens of Bashkortostan together with the whole country have displayed unprecedented bravery and heroism on all fronts and in all battles, they demonstrated high labor prowess at plants and factories, on building sites, in medical sanitary battalions and at hospitals” – the President of the Republic said – “Our Fatherland has its own truth about that bloody war and this truth is indisputable. Originality and greatness of the feat of Soviet soldiers, marines and commanders can be neither diminished nor distorted or rewritten. Our descendants will remember and honor the victory of 1945 many decades and centuries ahead”.
Talking to veterans the President of Bashkortostan told them about latest achievements in economic life of the Republic and said many thanks for that support, which representatives of older generation give to the leadership of the region, thereby contributing to its stable and dynamic development. Though both the Republic and the country go through rather hard times, the time of veterans was much heavier and not only in war times but in the 50s, the 60s and the 70s. That time these people raised the country, erected new towns and launched big enterprises in conditions of shortage of resources, money and building materials.
After Rustem Khamitov’s speech solemn evening party was continued with festive concert of Masters of Arts RB, other congratulations sounded too.
