The only in Bashkortostan movable station for collection of old mercury-containing wares – the eco-truck of the state unitary enterprise “TABIGAT”- has collected more than 2500 energy-saving lamps from population in 2012. The last action on collection of mercury lamps has taken place in Ufa last weekend within the frames of the ecological action “My Town is My Home”.
The engineer of “TABIGAT” Albina Shamsutdinova told the exhausted lamps were accepted from people absolutely free.
“For more than one hour and a half we’ve collected about 100 energy-saving lamps and mercury thermometers. We are happy that citizens of Ufa have also made their small contribution to wildlife conservation, making the first step to separated waste collection” – she said.
