Cellular communications come to remote villages of Zilairsky region

Residents of the village Matraevo, Zilairsky region of Bashkortostan, and other nearby villages often complained of unavailability of cellular communications and at every opportunity the villagers asked local authorities to install a communication relay station on their territory.

Regional administration and the Ministry for communication and mass communications RB took this problem under their control and appealed to the leading cellular providers of the country.

On April 13 one of the cellular providers has opened a relay station on the territory of the village. He Minister for communication and mass communications RB Boris Melkoedov and the head of local administration Ilgiz Fatkullin came to congratulate the villagers.

“Today we can’t imagine our life without modern cellular communications. This relay station, launched today, makes our relatives and friends closer and we’d like to say many thanks to the leadership of the region and of the Republic for the care of us. We are happy that now we can communicate with any point of the globe” – the teacher of local village school Lilia Distanova has said on behalf of all villagers.
