The state natural reserve “SHULGAN-TASH” is included into the preliminary list of UNESCO World Heritage, the executive director of the Committee for UNESCO Affairs RB Ulfat Umaguzin reported today during online conference in “The Public Electronic Newspaper”.
“We received the message from UNESCO headquarters in Paris that this object of natural and cultural heritage was included into the preliminary list of UNESCO World Heritage” – he said – “At present time we are staying halfway to this list and now we have to prepare a new scientific dossier in Russian and English languages”.
The inclusion of this object into UNESCO list puts “SHULGAN-TASH” under international guarding and UNESCO recommendations for financial, scientific and informational support will be sent to the address of the leaderships of Bashkortostan and Russia. This step will attract in its turn the interest of tourists and business circles. The so-called zone of cooperation with aboriginal population will be set around the object. In particular, local residents may gather berries and mushrooms and mow hay in the zone.
The UNESCO World Heritage list in Russia includes 21 objects now, including Moscow Kremlin, the historical center of Saint-Petersburg, Kazan Kremlin, forests in Komi and Altai mountains.
