Presentation of the third, the fourth and the sixth volumes of “The History of Bashkir nation” has taken place in the Congress-Hall, Ufa and representatives of authority, authors, the Academy of Sciences RB, the Ufa Scientific Center and the Institute of history, language and literature RB, which won the grant for writing of this seven-volume scientific work, have taken part in it.
The division of the work, devoted to the history of Bashkir nation, into seven volumes is dictated by the striving for covering of all aspects of this history. Thus, the first volume considers the period from the most ancient times and till the IV century AD, the second – from the V and till the middle of the XVI century, the third – from the second half of the XVI and till XVIII centuries, the fourth –the XIX century, the fifth – 1900-1940 years, the sixth – 1941-1985 and the seventh – since 1985 and till the beginning of the XXI century. The work over “The History of Bashkir nation” started in 2006. The first volume was published in 2009. The fifth volume was issued in 2010 and its publication was dated to the 20th anniversary of the Declaration about state sovereignty of Bashkortostan and to the 120th anniversary from the birth date of the prominent Turk specialist and founder of Bashkir autonomy Akhmet-Zaki Validov. The third, the fourth and the sixth volumes were published in 2011. The director of the Institute of history, language and literature RB Firdaus Khisamitdinova reported that the second and the seventh volumes would be published in 2012. “Thereby this wide-scaled scientific project will be over in 2012” – she said – “and I hope that this fundamental investigation of the history of Bashkir nation will be left to our progeny”.
